Hello,

That is why I think it is better to get an older 7xx machine than the newer
3xx with the same processor. The 7xx seems to have more features
and more options (if you can still get them). The 770 seems current
enough for both good deals and still available options.

Before I buy I need to learn more about the 770, 760, etc models
(past and present) so I have a good idea of what is available.

        The 770 ultrabay also accepts things like a second hard drive, a ZIP
drive, an
        LS120 drive, DVD, etc. It is very useful. I use mine mainly with a
second
        hard drive installed (salvaged from my last ThinkPad, a 760EL).
That way I
        can boot to either NT or Win98 from a simple NT boot menu, but yet
retain two
        separate, individual, and independent O/S environments.

        Hopefully you can find a 770 that meets your budget...
