I asked an IBMer (o.mark_at_de.ibm.com) who knows those guys that do ThinkPad Support at IBM. They told him
that there's no support for iSeries and 570, but as long as customers demand it, there *will* be support
for OS/2.
This does not mean that there will be a 56k capable MWave driver, but ThinkPad Features, Video Drivers
and PCMCIA drivers will be delivered.

BTW: The Aurora ("IBM Warp Server for e-business") GA contains PCMCIA-Support for the iSeries. That's
what IBM calls "no support".
