Vincent,
     After looking at the specs for the 770Z at www.cdw.com, it appears to
me that the hardware decoder comes with it like my 770ED - if someone else,
however, knows better, please let us/me know :)
     As for the "window" question. Yes, SoftDVD plays DVDs in a full screen
window. You should be aware, however, that all of the DVDs I have bought or
rented are wide-screen version. This means that on a 13.7" or 14.1" screen
the upper 2 and lower 2 inches of the screen are not used. I am completely
satisfied with the playback quality and size - it is definitely not meant
for a crowd, though. Then again, that is what the video and audio cable out
is for (which is part of the decoder card)... I liked the looks of XingDVD
Player, but like I said, I cannot get it to work properly and Xing was not
any help. I wish someone could come up with a fix so it works on the 770x
series USING the hardware decoder...
      Also, Media player did not overwrite the device files already loaded
>from other devices on the 770. Hope this helps further...
