Maybe that's why I'm not married. :-)
Seriously, it's not that I'm clumsy or anything. My first
Sharp calculator broke when my sister took it to school in her
backpack. The weight of the books bent it and broke the PCB.
After that, I switched to HP calculators. You can drop-kick
those and they'll still work (I hear dropping them from 5 feet
onto a hard floor is a standard quality control check at HP).
I try to avoid the bleeding edge now, so I don't really baby
my laptops. I'm still careful with them, but I think most
people underestimate how rugged they really are. Besides,
there's always epoxy. :-)
