Hiya,
I'm coming up to the one year purchase date of my trusty TP560x
(233-MMX) and I am thinking about purchasing the extended warranty
>from IBM.
The going rate is $99/year.
The confusing thing is that I've heard/read that I can get a max of 2
additional years of coverage for this system. However, the IBM person
I just talked to on the phone insisted that I can get an _additional_
_3_ of coverage (same rate of $99/year). He told me that this has
been the case for at least the last 6 months.
Has any one else heard this, or was this guy mistaken?
Since IBM will only let me add coverage once, I have to decide now for
how long to get it.
Anyone have had good/bad experiences with the extended service? If
it's the same as standard with which I've been happy I should be ok.
I guess I'm wondering if the 3 years additional is true, if it's worth
getting, or would 2 years be enough. Will these machines still be able
to handle what we need to get done in 3 years?
