I think the 770 and i series use the exact same memory parts.

It doesn't affect it in any way. IBM will require you to remove
third party memory before they will support you I think. Atleast, that's
what PC Connection told me. Speaking about PC Connection, anyone know who
makes the memory for them or what brand the memory they use is?
