OK, removed the extra 64 meg memory DIMM from the 770e, boot up the thing with the
recovery cd and recovery diskette..... Nothing Works, the computer jsut does an infinite
loop (it restart itself over and over again)
I can say i tried almost everything logical and recommended here and the thing just
would not boot up with the recovery cd.
The 2 recovery cds are ok (i tried it on my desktop)
The dvd rom and cd rom are ok when in use without the recovery cds
The floopy drive is also flawless
Two more options here to make/do here
1) formatting the HD ( i need serious help here ) i do not have a win 95 cd but i do
have a stand alone win 98 cd available. what steps should i take ?
2) Uninstall win 98 from the computer and hope that i can run the recovery cd from the
machine's win 95
The DVD problem.
errors messages that i get when trying to run DVD with softdvd prog
<failed to perform stream creation VPM>
<MPEG video device could not load the files Abort!>
<Loading software> then the system hang
Even if i could not get recovery cd it would be nice to be able to watch the exorcist
dvd that i bought specifically for this machine. Plus i really like to know the quality
of dvd playback with the hardware decorder card on the 770e
