can you boot up with the floppy and a standard DOS boot diskette..??if so, then its the load
on the machine, if not, then its more..

if more, go to EZ setup (hold F1 down while power on)
then do an initialize..

ahh.. one more thing, what is the bios rev. level/date..
be sure your bios is up to date..
perhaps flash the bios if its NOT up to date..

just run setup from win98 CD, it should discover most of what you need to run the
CD..assuming that the win98 is not an upgrade version but a full version..

you'll not be able to watch anything until you get the machine back to factory specs..
