its possible that they used a newer system board..
either that or put the wrong info in the cmos when they put the machine
serial number on the system board, IF that model supports that feature..

what does system in control panel tell you about the cpu..??

if they upgraded the sys board, then the recovery CD will be wrong for the
machine..

you BET theres a significant difference..
P-II somethingMMX vs. P233MMX.. a much better cpu and chipset..
