And it worked. I installed the BIOS dated 5-12-99 and voil\`a, it worked.
Now the SCSI adapter is detected in Windows. Most unfortunately, the
Linux situation has not improved. The adapter is still unrecognized by the
PCMCIA subsystem. I hope that David Hinds is going to implement a driver
for this particular card.
