I have seen cheaper laptops (Mitac) actually MELT a PCMCIA modem..
so, IMO, up to actually melting a card, i doubt normal heat will much bother a
well designed PCMCIA card..
in fact, i run a 760ED 24/7 with a NIC in the PC card slot.. hot but it keeps
on ticking.. :-)
