I must add my 2 c. worth here...
the P-II mobile modules have the BX chipset which caches all the memory that
can be added..
the older thinkpads without the P-II can't, but if it has not yet been
pointed out, more is better in memory, even uncached..
'cuz it lowers the swap file size.. and diminishes swap file hits..
makes things faster and more power efficient, overall..

just my two-bits worth.. :-)
