Hello!
Yesterday I flew on a different airline, and the longer segment
(~5:00 gate-to-gate) had power connectors in all seats in the front
cabin (it was CP on a 737 if it matters). The second segment was
also a CP 737 but had no power adapters (and no headset outlets) in
the seats for 2:50 gate-to-gate.
Should I get a power adapter for my TP600? Or would my money be
better spent on a second battery? I used the notebook on the first
segment and ran the battery right down. I like to think I'd have
used it on the second segment if I could, although it's possible
I'd have slept or read anyway. And I only got the upgrade at the
gate right before departure (for the second segment that is).
Any advice? And anyone who thinks "yes you should get an adapter",
can you provide a URL for more information? Difference in cost
between a realiable power adapter and a second Li-Ion battery?
I'm flying back on Saturday, and should have power outlet on the
longer segment. On the other hand, I'm probably less likely to
work on the way home. :) I wouldn't mind getting something while
in California this week, so I have the option of working on the
flight.
The other benefit of the second battery is that it would work on
non-outlet-equipped planes, or if I don't get the upgrade to the
front cabin, and also on other airlines.
Thanks for any advice!
andrew
