I was considering using the 770 for a video capture application but decided against it because
no one at IBM could tell me conclusively what capabilities it had at better than 320x240
resolution.

What I did learn from IBM, as well as from vendors of video capture PC Cards, is that no one
seems to have a product that can exceed 320x240 at 30 frames per second, and that even
320x240/30 is only obtainable in a best-case situation.

If you intend to capture video at full resolution (640x480 or better at 30fps) you will, at
least in this crop of laptops, need a desktop machine, with a Matrox/Pinnacle, etc. capture
card.

And plan on BIG files--that's what it takes to store decent-looking MJPEG.
