Or rather, due to the fact that the DX2-75 in the 701 already has some on-CPU cache, unlike the
run-of-the-mill Intel DX2-66 which the AMD chip more often replaces. The speedup on my home box
(when I swapped in a 5x133 for a 2-66) was *not* negligible (especially when overclocked to 166:-)
To be honest, I'm surprised that some enterprising person out there hasn't yet found a way to keep
the wonderful 701 shell, and swap out all the electronic components for something more modern.
Surely there's *some* cheap remaindered Pentium laptop out there whose motherboard and screen
would fit in the 701 box!
