Using a ramdisk to hold frequently loaded and unloaded apps (as in their
actual *.exe files) is a completely different thing than putting the swapfile
there. Given that you want to use your huge extra memory to hold frequently
accessed files for power saving reasons, I think you have a valid point. This
assumes that you have more than enough RAM for your running applications so
that you've got enough room for the ramdrive. All this is good until your
system needs to access more memory than you have available (total RAM -
ramdisk), at which time performance takes a nosedive and you'd be better off
ditching the ramdisk.
