its ONLY GOSSIP..!!
nothing more..
the dearth of a new high end machine announcement at this time might be due
to intel not shipping cpu's..

it IS august and things are slow and strange right now..

memory prices are strange (some down, some UP, some the same), HDD's are
ditto.. (Hitachi drives in thinkpads, no 6.4gig, 4.8gig drives around)...

the 600 is a nice machine and a worthy competitor to the 770..
it might be that the 770 will go on with a bigger display and other
enhancements the 600 and lesser thinkads can not have or won't be given...
the new top end model might just have built in everything and wind up being
a true desktop replacement, while the 600 remains the leader as a true
laptop...

the new bios's on desktop machines give you the optioon to have a machine
start up at a given date and time or every day at a certain time, as well
as the usual answer on ring and wake on lan and so on..
in fact, if i SNEEZE in my study/office one machine starts to boot up..!!
:-)
