Finally, my TP760CD is returned. It appears OK, so far.
Some screws were replaced, along with the I/F cable
(whatever that is), a lower spacer, lower case and the DSP card
was reseated. The unit was thoroughly cleaned.
Now, the sound is back.
I don't think I will take the unit to the same IBM authorized
repair shop, again. IBM is working out the $1054.00 charge
with that shop.
Uncounted calls to EZ Serve later, (182 minutes on a cell
phone) I am a HAPPY camper.
