Sorry for the late reply -
I have a 770ED and I consistently get a blue screen and a similar-looking error (I can't verify the exact message right now, but the words are definitely the same), when the following steps occur:
- First, the screen has been blanked (either because of the screen-blanking power-saving setting, or because I hit Fn-Screen to turn the screen off)
- Next, while the screen is already blank, the lid is closed.
Consistently, if I close the lid while the screen is blank, I get the above error. And, next time I restart Windows (95), the display comes up in 640x480 mode.
Solution: Don't close the lid while the screen is blank. Activate the screen, THEN close the lid. If the lid is already closed when the screen goes blank, you will have no problem.
I asked the list last year about this problem, and nobody was able to solve the problem.
Good luck,
