Turgut,

Is your serial port disabled? My 560X came with it disabled and IR enabled.
The default setup makes the serial port and IR port use the same IRQ so they
are mutually exclusive. To make both active, you have to change the IRQ
(usually 5 or 7) used by whichever port is active (IR) to something not
currently used (such as 9), then reboot and enable the disabled (serial)
port, which will then use the IRQ previously used by the first active (IR)
port. Reboot, and both will be active simultaneously.

As for your thinkpad and watch not communicating via IR, your watch may not
be using IrDA to talk to your thinkpad. I have a Zaurus ZR-3500X that links
via IR to my 560X, and I *think* I don't use IrDA - the software is set to
link via Sharp's proprietary ASK protocol or something. My 560X is not with
me so I can't check. Anyway, make sure that your software is using the same
IR protocol as the watch.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
Benjamin
