I wouldn't know about IBM USA, but my experience with IBM Germany is
that you can get everything for which you know the number (FRU?). And
vice versa: no number, no replacement, which apparently means that
you can buy the HDD-caddy in about half a dozen different pieces, but
can not get the cable at all (or so I was told. I didn't look for a
number on the cable, since I didn't need it).
So I'm pretty positive that if you do know the number, you can get the
part (caveat: IBM Germany is only selling to dealers, and pricing is
completely arbitrary, often with huge, complicated parts being much
cheaper than small, simple ones).
