on earlier thinkpads (755, 760 series) you could stop this readjustment (or
accelerate the process) with two or so rapid right mouse clicks..
this feature seems to have disappeared in the 770 and 600 series..
to avoid more readjustment, get into the habit of NOT resting your finger tip
on the pointer stick.. this is the usual cause of readjustments.. :-)
