I'm a bit concerned about buying this drive because it's used and only
comes with a 90-day warranty. (Look at the bottom of the left column of
their product description.) I'm also hesitant because you have to go to
some trouble to find that disclaimer. The discount ($99 v. around $270)
is certainly significant, but I just don't know about buying a used
CD-ROM drive.
Has anyone had experience buying used CD-ROM drives?

cool flying saucer case), might myself upgrade to the faster one if I
can find a decent use for my old one (and if the faster ones don't sell
out before I make up my mind).
Compgeeks used to sell stuff at the onsale.com auction site for a few
dollars less, if you like such things.
