I tried the same thing using the external floppy case (as supplied with
the TP-701, 365, 560 et al) and it did NOT work..
gave up the exxperiment as not worth more effort..
IMO it might be a bios thing, but i'm not at all sure..
intrestingly enough, whille the 701 et al external floppy has worked with
every thinkpad thatg will accept an external floppy, the 770 floppy does
not seem to want to work with a 701..
have not tried it with the 560 or others..
