Ok....it figures, the 1 yr warranty is up on my 560E (40U) and it decides to
become unusable.
Basically, from what I can tell, the connector for the DC card on the
mainboard is either loose or something is shorting. This poor thing has
been bent, beat, carried, and everything else under the sun.....it started
with the battery not being so tight in its slot anymore....and then,
depending on how the thinkpad was sitting, it thought it was charging when
there was really no A/C....now, after having taken it apart twice to try to
reseat the DC card, it's just pretty much dead.
I've been looking on IBM's website, and I'm sure this is a faq, but....
where the HECK do I send this thing to be repaired?
