Got my PCMCIA CD-ROM from CompGeeks

My PCMCIA CD-ROM drive arrived today from CompGeeks, with UPS ground taking
two days just as promised. It came in a factory-sealed IBM box, with this
IBM label:

1969-RR1 Refurb PCMCIA CDROM
Equivalent to M/T 1969-010
Sold "As-Is" No Warranty
Used and Tested

So apparently the 90 day warranty is from CompGeeks themselves.

In any case, the drive looks new and works perfectly. It's a bit loud in the
high speed mode, but the speed button quiets it way down (and slows it down
<g>) if that's a problem.

There is apparently a stereo model of this drive with extra connectors; this
isn't that one.

The NiCD battery pack came fully charged. The AC adapter came with a funny
little 6" power cord on the AC side. But any standard AC cord fits it.

Seems like an honest deal and a good bargain. For anyone who missed the
