which OS are you trying to load..
if not win98Se then i suggest that OS over win95B or win98...
make a recovery diskette on another system and then try booting with that
and a CD connected to the PC card slot..
then load the OS, and thereafter load the video driver (if its not in with
the OS), the utility diskette and mwave and so forth...
note: the 755cx was not designed for win95 or later.. its all a balancing
act.. some features might work better under win95 than win98SE and
vice-versa..
