Hi,
I need to get infrared to work on my TP760XL (9547-U9C) with NT 4.0 SP5 for
HotSync with a WorkPad (Palm Pilot clone). I downloaded the irtpgwnt.exe
package from IBM's website. Whenever I run it, though, I get an application
error:
Infrared Data Association Driver Setup: setup.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x56545250" referenced memory at "0x56545250". The
memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate...
I downloaded the package again to make certain it wasn't corrupt and tried
to run the install program on my desktop box (also NT4SP5) with the same
result.
For whatever reason, the infrared driver setup calls NT's setup.exe. I
figured that setup.exe was patched sometime between SP3 and SP5, but
setup.exe is the same file that's on the NT CD-ROM. Maybe they changed a DLL
or something, but in any event, it doesn't work and any help will be greatly
appreciated!
