Hi,
I've had my 770ED since January. I have a few questions
Noise comes out of the speakers when the hard drive is being accessed and
I move the trackpoint. Is this normal operation? The Setup Diagnostics run
okay.
The battery drops off from 28% to 5% instantly. I already tired the power
cycling. Shouldn't it discharge in a linear manner?
The Real-time Clock (RTC) seems to run a little slow. Maybe 10 minutes
after a week or two.
Some of the "paint" is coming off of the edge of the palm rest.
Is this worth fixing?
I lost the external floppy cable. The FAQ web site is not valid: "To order
an IBM part click "Parts" at: http://ibm-direct.e-com.ibm.com" Is there a
valid web site for this? Can I get one from a third party?
Will the service center install the latest software upgrades,
patches, and drivers? Is there any charge for this?
Finally, what is the typical turn-around time?
Thanks, John
