i sold my 560 several months ago, but usually the hibernate file is created by: 1. the bios(701) or 2. a line in the autoexec.bat
(HFILE C) where the "C" is the drive letter..
rem out the line and thats IT for the hibernate file..! :-)

otherwise, you SHOULD be able to turn off hibernate in thinkpad features..
