Typically, you should NOT need to match the manufacturer for those two
DIMM's..

if both parts don't work together, and each work and pass the memory test
seperately, then obviously one is sub-standard..
i know kingston is a good brand, but i don't know the same about advantage..
though they are widely advertised..

1. there could be a timing issue between these two disparate parts.. check the
chips for the same speed.. though this is NOT the timing issue i.m talking
about..

2. the DIMM carrier might be bad.. try to borrow a different DIMM for testing
only..

3. call the tech support line for the newest part..
