Thanks for the quick reply. You are correct, I'm running the Win95
that came with this TP600. I suspect I'm too late for the free
upgrade to Win98 (there was a coupon floating around, about the
time I got this one -- end of June, 1998).
Do you think I could use the extra 2GB for a Linux install, and
still use my Win95? I know that's the cowardly way out, but it's
being suggested repeatedly that I install Linux. Although I think
it would be great to play with the technology (I know SunOS from
the old days), I'm stumped as to why I'd _want_ Linux. There isn't
much I can do on it, that I can't do with Windows, and there's lots
I do with Windows that I can't with Linux (edit SGML files in Word
Perfect, publish with Corel Ventura).
Anyway, if I've got 2GB I can't access now, perhaps I should
"graciously" use it for Linux and keep my client happy? If I can,
that is!
