Thanks Mark, I'm also a firm believer in the efficacy of the "universal
burnishing tool".
I should have stated in my inital post that I've cleaned all the contacts as best
as possible and still get no response from the charging circuit other than the
random flashing. I've had the unit on charge for 2 days now, both on and off,
with no better result.
Guess I'll just have to await the arrival of the quick charger I won last week on
eBay. That's "supposed" to work with these batteries and should wake them
up. Worst case scenario is I'll ship them to my daughter in Boston and let her
use them in her 760XL.
