I had a 560 totally naked..
parts all OVER the place..
the keyboard is the easiest.. to reseat the connector (chance that this IS the
problem is slim) you must remove the keyboard..

i won't walk you through it in detail, just go to thinkpads.com and then the HDD
upgrade page..
i have instructions for the 560 for replacing the HDD..
removal of the kbd is the first step.. :-)
(stop then, don't pull the HDD<g>)

one word of warning.. tape the latch mechanism so that when/if you accidentally
touch it while the kbd is in surgery, it does not fly across the room, in
several capricious directions...
(this is why mechanics call those horseshoe shaped clips on cars "Jesus clips"..
when they 'pop' off, they fly away to the tune of "Oh Jesus!!"... :-)
[with apologies to to any who might be offended..]

buy the kbd from IBM boulder parts.. 800-388-7080 if it is required..
