When I purchased my TP 380Z, it came pre-loaded with NT Workstation 4
and Service Pack 3. Because of other reasons, I downloaded and installed
Service Pack 4 this evening. Even though the service pack installed just
fine, after rebooting I get errors indicating that *ALL* of the following
failed to load during boot-up:
PCCard
Platform
resman
SSCrdBus
SSI365
Further (as might be expected by the above problem) the system no longer
recognizes the Xircom Modem/LAN PCMCIA adapter.
Finally, after un-installing SP 4, the problems all go away and the system
goes back to working properly.
Does anybody have any hints what I might have done wrong (or what I should
do differently to get SP4 loaded on my system without the problems shown
above)?
