Hi everyone....
I obtained an IBM Travelstar DKLA-24320 (4.32Gb) HD to
replace the 810Mb drive currently in my 760ELD. I
installed the drive in the 810Mb caddy and you could
tell the system was seeing the HD as the HD emblem on
the LCD panel showed the system spinning the drive.
When I went into the bios setup it didn't show a drive
and when I booted off a floppy and attempted to fdisk
the drive fdisk stated no fixed disk present even
though the startup disk told me it didn't find a
proper format on the HD.
Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the connector for
the 810Mb drive isn't compatible with the 4.3Gb or...?
