Exactly the problem..
the spec was reversed several years ago..
if you use a HDD shell that has an old drive in it, the new drive will be told
that it is a slave and the machine won't see it..
you need to isolate the 4 drive select pins from the computer and short the
cable select pins to tell the drive it should look at the cable select pin to
see if it should be master or slave (as in the case of using the drive in the
ultrabay and another drive in the drive bay).. :-)
