Other than the *idiotic* Region restrictions on not being able to change
your region code, I know of no problems using a CD on a DVD player.
The region idiocy is that once you've set your region (reg 1 is NA)
you can't reset it without reloading the operating system, so says IBM.
You probably want to get the DVD player anyway. It won't be long before
a lot of childrens software will be on DVD's anyway, given how much more
space they have for video/audio.
