VGA input at docking station

Hi,

At IBM's page of specifications for docking station 3454
http://servicepac.mainz.ibm.com/eprmhtml/eprm2/3454.htm
I've found that this docking station has a VGA input.
Does this mean that by connecting a vga output of another
(desktop) computer to to this port one could use laptop's screen
as an external monitor for the desktop computer???????
