The company my wife works for leases several thousand laptops annually and has a
constant turnover as they upgrade on a rolling basis every three years.

When the leases expire we are normally given the option of purchasing the units
at very attractive prices. So far I've purchased 2 TP600s this way. The same
thing goes for her company car, which we _always_ purchase due to the attractive
pricing and the fact that I know the vehicle's history. (OK, we didn't purchase
her '96 Blazer because it was a lemon!)

Many of the laptops you see on eBay could very well be legitimate lease returns.

James the Elder
