I have complaints about IBM hard drives getting louder over time, and not
with the i1480, but with the 14 gig on the 770z. I'm on my third hard drive
for this machine and it's much louder than when I installed it. Each of the
first two hard drives started out quiet and got noisy (whine). I'm
living/working with it this time around, but it's ridiculous to have to put
up with this kind of noise in a work environment. -- Jeff
