It shouldn't matter if it went up in flames and burned down the facility! If
they can't _prove_ that you somehow modified the MB, they owe you a new 600!
Go higher in the food chain and contact a service manager and _ALSO_ start
calling IBM support. Your warranty (a binding contract) is between you and IBM,
regardless of who they use for actual repairs. Threaten legal action and tell
IBM you're reporting them for fraud to your state Atty. General.
The only exception to the 3 year warranty is abuse. What "abuse" occurred that
affected you 600's MB?
Do all this while EZServe still has the unit. I know it's painful, but if you
take it back now after THEY'VE smoked it, you're SCREWED!!!!
