Hello ThinkPad Users,

Lately, my 770ED has been annoying me a bit. A couple of times a week,
I'm going along working with no apparent problems, when the system
just decides to do a full reset -- black screen to ThinkPad logo to
boot sequence. No "odd" behavior from Windows 95 (original pre-load).
No funny noises. No shutdown or termination of programs in any sort of
controlled or graceful fashion. Just *boom*. I have not been able to
tie these instances to any particular activity on the system.
Sometimes, I'm connected to the Internet via Ethernet, sometimes via
modem, sometimes not at all. Sometimes I'm editing a file in Word 97.
Sometimes I'm not. Sometimes it happens at about the same time as I
fire up a new application. Sometimes it happens when I save a file.
Sometimes it happens when I load a CD in the DVD drive.

Naturally, my first suspect is Windows 95. But, I figured it might be
useful to ask here whether anyone has seen this kind of behavior and
whether it might correspond to a hardware problem.

Thanks! Ron.
