Two computers still run Win95a (the original Win95 with the
service pack and then all the MS fixes to the service pack).
Many of the fixes require a reboot, so the reinstallation
process can be long, even when done from a HD. I haven't had
to reinstall on either machine (one a 701 and the other an old
desktop Pentium) in a long long time.

<humour>
You'd think a proper operating system would be consistent with
having a way for the updates to modify the .CAB files, so that
the next time you have to reinstall, it only takes two minutes.

There is a site which tells you which fixes you need and
whether you have to reboot after each, but, although the author
makes it as simple as he can, it just ain't simple.
