I've had the same trouble with the desktop LCD I'm using now. I found that
by changing the vertical referesh rate, I can get the image to be about as
sharp as my ThinkPad's. At 60Hz, the image is fuzzy. At 75Hz, the image is
great. You might want to give that a try.
