A follow-up on air adapters. For the first time in my experience, I
flew on a plane with a notebook power port. I'd upgraded to what
United seems to be calling "First Class" these days. (Nice food,
couple more inches leg room, adjustable headrest, coat check, narrow
seat.) This was on a 767.

Unfortunately, I can't report on how well things worked, because it
was the "red eye" flight from San Francisco to Chicago, and I needed
all the sleep I could get. (I used some "miles" to upgrade for that
purpose.)

But, between the power port and the extra couple inches and the
different tray table design, I think I actually could have been
reasonably productive with my 770ED on that flight. Nice to have the
option.

I don't even take it out when flying "cattle car" class, since the
only way to safely use it is with the screen on the tray table and the
keyboard flat against my abdomen, which feels like it could give me
carpal tunnel syndrome in about 30 seconds of use.

Ron.
