Windows Millenium on TP770Z

Greetings,

        Has anyone successfully installed Windows Millenium Edition Beta
on the ThinkPad 770Z or any other model? It seems that Windows ME is
supposed to be able to use all Win98 based drivers but for some reason,
the 770Z's internal modem is not compatible with WinME when I attempted to
do the install. As soon as I ran setup, it says that the ThinkPad Modem
drivers are not compatible with Windows Millenium. Anyone have any luck?
