How can you say a Volkswagon isn't a Porsche? The same arguments
apply.
It just isn't. Compare them side-by-side and you'll see
that. The i-series even *feels* chintzy. Its an embarrassment to the
ThinkPad line. Its okay if IBM wants to make them and sell them for cheap,
just give them a different name to distinguish that fact. Even the plastic
casing on the i's reminds me of my kids' toys.

Refer to above. Have you compared them--physically--next to each
other? No contest. Most owners of a "real" ThinkPad that does so would agree.
There's a lot of chintzy cheap laptops out there for me to buy,
and the i-series is one of them. Its just sad that they are also called
ThinkPads.
