I would suspect a possible interrupt conflict. Does the same thing happen
with an external mouse plugged in? If so, then I would say it's an
interrupt.

I just picked up a thinkpad 390x. The trackpoint seems to freeze for a few
seconds now and again. The win98 device manager doesn't show any device
conflicts. Anyone have any ideas?
