Vincent,
I use my laptop for faxing a lot. I have accounts with Concord for Internet
faxing and Universal Mail. Internet faxing works great. I've been able to
drop the fax line at my office and never have to worry having an analogue
line free at home or in a hotel because the faxes just go out over the
internet. Universal mail works well, too, although the connection to Concord
for downloading can be iffy. You can always see your faxes in a browser,
though.
Re: TalkWorks 3.0: Probably some refinements in the voice stuff. I remember
reading the improvements list, but don't recall there being anything that
was particularly compelling. Plus, I had by then stopped using the voice
features anyway.

Bill and everyone,
That's true. I just installed WinFax Pro 10.0 on my desktop over
TalkWorks 2.0 and it went back to the TalkWorks folder. I never fax from
the ThinkPad and besides, my HD is still in data recovery at the labs. I
guess the Symantec product will default to the folder of the first product
you installed, whether TalkWorks or WinFax Pro for installation. I just
wished there was a TalkWorks 4.0. I still wonder what the difference is
in 3.0 versus 2.0 since they both use WinFax Pro 9.0.
